29 August 2026: The Sharne Fleet in 3D
Fly the camera close to a fleet in the Star Systems View and the blips become ships. Until now that was a Human and Knosson privilege — this release brings in the Sharne line, from the smallest gunship to the command ship, plus the first Derulon ship.
Six ships modelled
- Sharne — Dark Omen Class Gunship, Blood Skimmer, Midnight Class Destroyer, Mortis Spyre, and the Carrion Class Command Ship.
- Derulons — the Dak-nuul Class Mothership, the largest ship modelled so far.
Scale you can read at a glance
- Ships are sized against each other, not drawn to fit a box. Every ship is modelled at true relative scale across all four fleets, so a Dark Omen next to a Carrion looks exactly as outmatched as it is.
- Same rules for every galaxy. Models are shared by all galaxies and load instantly — no downloads, no install, nothing to enable.
- Nothing is lost if a ship has no model yet. Unmodelled types keep their blip and behave exactly as before. Selection, targeting, orders and combat are untouched — this is a visual layer only.
New roadmap objective: a 3D model for every ship
- Sixteen of the game's 130 ships are now modelled — 12% of the way across the six playable races.
- Humans lead with six, then Sharne with five, Knossons with four, and the first Derulon.
- Next up: opening the Feon-Tar and Vatari Cult fleets, then working down each race's line. The roadmap tracks the count as it climbs.
Nothing to do — open a system with Sharne ships in it and fly the camera in.
