The Drop Pod is the centrepiece of the Sharnes unique method of expansion. Rather than assembling structures fully, as other races do, the Sharne attach the partially assembled structure to a Yvannas 4 chassis, which transports the structure to a destination, which can be in another system, at which point the structure is completed. Each structure is referred to as a separate class of Drop Pod for easy Identification. The Class I Drop Pod is used to assemble the Starfighter Forge, which assembles the fighters and bombers of the Sharne fleets.
