Perseus Class Support Frigate

The Perseus Class Frigate has a simple purpose in any fleet, that is to destroy enemy capital ships as efficiently as possible. This is a task which the Perseus does extremely well, with its under mounted Lance High Energy Beam Cannon which is quite capable of carving huge chunks out of the the most heavily armoured ships. Extremely vulnerable to fighter attack and broadsides from larger capital ships the Perseus Class Frigate should never be brought into direct combat unless as a last resort.
